5.Explain the PCV system with a neat sketch
PCV means Positive Crank case ventilation system. This PCV system is used for preventing air pollution. In this system filtered air from the cleaner is drawn through the crank case from where it picks up blow by gases, fuel vapours and water. The air then flows back to the induction manifold through a PCV Valve and enters the engine where the unburnt fuel is burnt

The main types of starting motor devices are
- Bendix drive
- Standard bendix drive
- Folo-thru Bendix drive
- Compression spring type Bendix drive
- Rubber spring type bendix drive
- Over running clutch or the pre engaged type drive
